This past week, several of our North Strand Community Home staff and mentors had the privilege of welcoming Wes Bishop of Mindful Men's Coaching (Mount Pleasant, SC) for an encouraging and insightful workshop focused on mentoring individuals navigating addiction, trauma, and significant life transitions.

As we continue developing and expanding our mentoring program, our goal is to build meaningful relationships with residents from the very beginning of their journey—helping identify areas of support, establish achievable goals, and walk alongside them as they move toward lasting stability and hope.

Wes's personal testimony, practical wisdom, and passion for mentoring affirmed so much of the direction we're pursuing. We are truly grateful for the time he invested in our team and for equipping us to serve our residents more effectively.

A special thank you to Ashley Morris for coordinating an incredible assortment of gourmet doughnuts from Parlor Doughnuts – North Myrtle Beach. They were the perfect addition to a wonderful morning!

🌿 A Heartfelt Thank You to the Driftwood Garden Club! 🌿

We are incredibly grateful to the members of the Driftwood Garden Club for blessing North Strand Community Home with their time, talent, and servant hearts.

Founded in 1961 and a federated member of The Garden Club of South Carolina, this remarkable group has long been dedicated to beautifying our community and creating welcoming spaces for others to enjoy. This week, they refreshed the garden area beside our playground, transforming it into a beautiful place where families can gather, connect, and watch their children play.

What makes their gift even more meaningful is that they accomplished it on a day filled with rain showers. While many would have postponed, these dedicated ladies worked between storms, planting, mulching, and creating a space that will bring joy and tranquility for months to come.
Their efforts are a beautiful reminder that community is built through acts of service, kindness, and caring for one another.
