Today is launch day.

For years, we've noticed something happening over and over in therapy: clients leave a session...and then immediately remember the thing they really wanted to say.

Or they spend the whole week hoping they will hold onto what they learned before life takes over again.

That's why Rachel, our clinic director, wrote Bring This to Therapy.

It's not a journal.

It's a guided workbook designed to help people get more out of every therapy session: before, during, and between appointments.

Whether you see a therapist at Cardinal or somewhere else, our hope is simple:

Better conversations lead to better therapy.

Thank you to everyone who encouraged this project along the way.

It's officially available on Amazon today.

Setting one healthy boundary and then immediately replaying the conversation 67 times like I just got called into HR. 😭

“Was I too harsh? Should I apologize? What if they secretly hate me now?...Maybe I *am* the villain…”

Meanwhile, the boundary was literally: “Hey, I can’t do Thursday.”

If setting boundaries feels uncomfortable, you’re not alone. Your anxiety having opinions does not mean your boundary was wrong. 💙

Healthy relationships are not relationships without conflict. They’re relationships where repair is possible. 💙

Melissa Joiner reminds us that misunderstandings, hard conversations, and hurt feelings can happen in any relationship. What matters most is the willingness to listen, reconnect, and repair together.

Healing often happens not because everything went perfectly, but because safety, accountability, and care remained present afterward.

If this speaks to you, Melissa is taking new clients at our office in North Little Rock and online across the state of Arkansas.

We made a post a few weeks ago about "TikTok Therapy" versus "Actual Therapy," and this is another area where reels and likes can miss the nuance needed in real healing. Your comfort is important, but friend, your healing is more important. Let us help you as you learn to advocate for yourself, for those you love, and for the world you want.
