If you're doing this...

Stop reading.

And fix it today.

Stop asking everyone else what God is asking you to do...

Before you've asked God.

You've asked your friends.

You've listened to podcasts.

You've watched YouTube.

You've read the books.

You've hired the coach.

You've asked your pastor.

You've asked your parents.

You've even asked strangers on the internet.

But have you asked God?

Really asked Him?

Have you actually sat quietly with Jesus?

When God asks you to do something...

It isn't a conference call.

He spoke to you.

Not everyone else.

Yes, invite wise counsel.

Yes, test what you hear against Scripture.

Yes, walk in biblical community.

But wise counsel should never replace God's voice.

It should simply help you ask:

Does this align with God's Word?

Does this reflect God's character?

If the answer is yes...

Don't let the opinions of people drown out the voice of the One who spoke to you.

Because sometimes we're so busy collecting advice...

We never create space to hear the One who is leading us.

Before you ask another person what they think...

Open your Bible.

Open your journal.

Get on your knees.

And ask the One who formed you.

He has never been confused about what He's asking you to do.

Be strong enough to obey God...

Even when others don't understand.
