3 Crosses Ranch

One of our goats surprised us this morning with two little kids! She must have been pregnant when he purchased her. We will be spending the next several days trying to keep them warm!!

I went and visited one of my "competitors" today. All I am going to say here is that it is well worth the drive in order to purchase from a producer who ensures the health and well being of the animals they offer. All of our goats and chickens have ample room to forage, run, play, lay down, etc, and they are generally kept in sexed pens (sometimes the hatchery accidentally sends us the wrong gender and bucklings are left with their mom until weaning), so the girls will not be constantly harassed by several males. Any animals we purchase for resale are either held long enough for us to ensure their health or purchased from small family farms that I have personally visited and ensured the health of the animals. Oh...and our prices are generally LOWER. Sorry for the rant, but I was just so sad by what I witnessed today.
