Job Title: Receptionist
HOURS OF WORK: Hours are generally from 8:30 AM to anywhere between 5- 6 PM Monday-Friday.
Starting wage: $12.50-$13.75 depending on experience.

POSITION SUMMARY: The position is for a full-time receptionist in a busy professional optical shop/lab. You’ll be working closely with patients while maintaining COVID protocols. The position requires excellent listening and communication skills. The right candidate must have a positive attitude, and work well with others.

SIGNIFICANT DUTIES:
-Punctual and dependable
-Ensure the privacy and security of protected health information per HIPAA requirements
-Greet patients and determine the reason for the visit.
-Complete the required paperwork for the visit.
-Input and scan patient information into the practice management system.
-Collect all information to call and verify benefits and eligibility on any involved insurance.
-Answer and direct phone calls.
-Notify patients when glasses are ready.
-Take payments and give out proper receipts and paperwork.
-Balance cash drawer at the end of the day.
-Restock and straighten the frame boards.
Requirements:
-Good listening and communication skills
-Knowledge of basic mathematical skills
-Ability to sit for long periods.
