From Blonde to Brown! Who said you had to go blonde for the summer? Thank you, Gigi for giving me the opportunity to do your hair. We were so happy with how it turned out! I'm really pleased with myself on this one I had absolutely no assistance and I completed it in about 2 hours! 🫶🏻

I had been staring at this hair for HOURS, I didn't even realize how big of a change it was until we had looked back on the photos😅 Regardless, I'm very proud of the work we achieved today. And you wouldn't believe that she required NO TONER!!!! Thank you again to everyone who helped me during this amazing transformation ❤️

Persephone-

We had the theme of grow and flourish. I'm not one to follow the rules to a tee. So here it is---

Persephone is the Greek Goddess of Spring, vegetation and growth. Her story, in short, she is the daughter of Zeus. Her uncle, Hades kidnapped her and forced her to rule the underworld with him. She is trying to feel grounded, but can't. She doesn't belong in the underworld, hence the burns on her legs. A necklace and single chain earring was used to represent her being chained to her marriage. Her ring finger is where the cracks begin. She feels broken and no longer whole. It's hard to see, but there is a hole for her heart. I felt that her emotions would feel lost and no longer obtainable, her heart is gone. She wants to return to her home. She wants to be who she once was. She can only see the flowers she used to grow. She wants to return somewhere she can no longer go. Her hair wraps around her and is bound by braids she is not allowed to be comfortable and free flowing. And lastly, her lips, again difficult to see are stained, Hades gave her a pomegranate to eat to signify the binding of their marriage and to represent her inability to go home. Though, not literal, she is chained to all of this. She had no choice. Choices were made for her without her consent and she is the one who is paying for it.

I'm kind of killing the game here! Just competed in the America's Beauty Show Student Competition. (Photos soon to come) Josie and I did an amazing collab to complete our look inspired by the Greek Goddess, Persephone. I'm very happy with the over all look and I am eager to get the results. Lily is ready to head back to school after an awesome spring break! A little more blonde to top it all off and soon she'll be summer ready. Thank you, Lily for hanging out with me on Friday and helping me learn.
