Faith in Action - Bloomington/Normal

Faith in Action is honored to be selected as the Bloomington recipient of Heritage Tractor's Traveling Tractor Tour donation! This summer, Heritage Tractor’s John Deere 8R tractor is traveling from store to store, bringing support and generosity to charitable organizations in each community they serve.

The Bloomington Heritage Tractor team chose Faith in Action as this year’s recipient, and we are incredibly thankful for their kindness and commitment to making a difference. We had so much fun welcoming the tractor and its team to the ARC yesterday!

Our next 20 Over 60 honoree is Sylvia Richardson!

Exemplifying leadership, service, and dedication in every aspect of her life, she has made a meaningful and lasting impact throughout McLean County. Sylvia is a certified life coach and counselor and the founder of Life’s Journey LLC, where she guides individuals toward personal growth and purpose.
Her commitment to equity and inclusion was evident during her service on the ARC Advisory Board, where she created “Celebrate Culture and Diversity” for the monthly newsletter and launched “Taste of Culture,” an initiative that brought people together through shared food and traditions.
A devoted mentor at Legacy Church, she has organized annual church events and continues to support spiritual and personal development within her community. At OSF Healthcare, she volunteers to provide non-clinical support to staff and patients, offering comfort, assistance, and a welcoming presence. She also maintains a small neighborhood food pantry, ensuring that families in need have access to essential items.
Sylvia’s ability to foster connection, inspire growth, and strengthen community engagement is at the heart of her work. In addition to her volunteer service, she has authored two devotional books that encourage reflection and faith. Her life reflects a deep commitment to serving others and uplifting her community through compassion, leadership, and unwavering dedication.
