Prairieland Elementary Music Classes

Special thanks to Jared and the awesome folks at Waiting Room Records for contributing to our music room record wall! Any excuse to spin up Basie and Sinatra for the kiddos is a good one.

Congrats to recent Prairieland grad GG on an OUTSTANDING performance of the Star Spangled Banner on a pretty big stage tonight!

Fun Fact: our National Anthem is an incredibly difficult song to sing well because of its range. Singers have to sing very low and very high, and words can be tricky when you’re nervous.

WOW! We were lucky to hear Ndere Troupe, an AMAZING drumming and dancing group all the way from the beautiful African country of Uganda!

Our students did a great job, asked some fabulous questions, and got to experience an intense and exhilarating performance.

KG even got a surprise performance and dance party after the performance!

Thank you for sharing such a fun performance! Prairieland Elementary School and McLean County U5 are so lucky to experience such awesome musicians and dancers!
