While we absolutely love dogs, this is a K9-focused event, and working police K9s and crisis response dogs will be present throughout the day. For everyone’s safety—including the dogs—we kindly ask that attendees leave their personal pets at home. ADA service animals are, of course, welcome. 🚨Advocate Spotlight🚨

While at the violent crimes conference, Jon ran into a familiar face.

This here is Kelli. Kelli was an advocate that worked with many of the survivors in our SAKI cold cases. We are grateful for the opportunity of partnering with the Office of the Attorney General and are thankful for their support and funding through the S*xual Assault Kit Initiative.

Jon, Brian and Kelli worked 64 of these cases solving over 50 cases, bringing several offenders to justice. A few are still making their way through the court system.

In retirement, we still advocate for these cases. It’s not just a job, it’s a calling. The work didn’t end because the paycheck from an agency did. We made a commitment and that commitment remains in tact.
