Recently one of our players, Daniel Hyde, was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Danny is a senior at Notre Dame
College Prep and plays for our 18U Illinois Indians travel team.

At our recent board meeting the 15 members in attendance unanimously decided to send Danny on a once in a lifetime
trip so that he can get away from it all for a day. This weekend he will be traveling to Detroit to attend a World Series
game.

We are kindly asking for donations to help support this trip. Understanding that times are tough for many, we will also
be holding a couple different fundraising events in the coming months.

Notre Dame College Prep in Niles welcomes any grade school boy and his family to attend Open House #1 on Sunday, October 14 from 11 am to 2 pm. Each student and his family will receive personal tour from a current Notre Dame student. Notre Dame is a college preparatory high school for over 800 young men.

Located on 28 acres at 7655 West Dempster Street in Niles, Illinois, Notre Dame's instructional programs have distinct levels of challenge: Advanced Placement, Honors, College Prep Core, and the Andre Program for students needed learning assistance. Each level is geared to prepare students for college admission. The Burke Scholars Program is for students with mild cognitive disabilities. A wide range of activities and sports programs are also available.

The school's mission is to offer an education of faith, scholarship and service.
