We are the creators of an educational software package called Knowledge GaugeTM. It is designed to focus on the abilities and knowledge students are expected to master in grades 5 through 8. Further, the assessments are organized by subject areas, subject categories, and specific tasks so that a student can choose to be assessed on specific topics. The subject areas are math, science, reading, language arts, and vocabulary. Most assessments are designed to require students to perform a task such as multiplication rather than select an answer from multiple-choice options. It provides a feedback mechanism for all assessments so that students can work through problems they have not gotten correct. That is, they can repeat an assessment until they get it correct with each successive presentation using different values. There is an extensive reporting mechanism for parents to see exactly what the students are doing and how they are performing.
