Very excited to share these INCREDIBLE pictures (and traditional video sing-along) from our Saturday night debut at The Newtown Theatre. Big big BIG shout outs to Matty!!! and Kerry!!! for their unparalleled attention to detail and unwavering help from the start of all the techy emails back and forth in hopes of making this a special night paying an RTP-style tribute to the 120th anniversary of the first film shown at the Newtown in 1906. A lot of work went into this over these last few weeks with them and we think the results of our hard together work speaks volumes! When you are younger (or even now!) and music hits you in a deep, personal, special way for that very first time, you forge a lifelong bond with music.. all the emotional support through good times and bad that it gives you to help you through... those memories you have will stay with you until your very last earthly breath...and when you hear that song or album that is special to you, it's like reconnecting with old friend that you have not seen in a long time, but when you get together again, it feels as no time has passed. Like we have said from the stage so many times, it doesn't matter who you are or where you are from, MUSIC is one thing that we can all agree upon to put things aside for and come together as one.... Much like what magically happened with RTP and the lovely wonderful people of Newtown, PA who shared in this celebration with us Saturday night at the Newtown Theatre. Thank you for also sharing your STYX stories too... absolutely loved hearing them, taking pictures with you, all of that good stuff!
