Birdie Open - 16th

Better late than never. Last weekend, I had the opportunity to compete in the Birdie Open out at Iron Hill DGC and what an event! Huge shoutout to the TD and all the volunteers that made this event possible!
Round 1 on Friday had its ups and downs and I couldn’t really get anything started! I shot +4 (rated 977) and out of the cash line.
Round 2 felt similar with the June heat and humidity, but I was able to stay clean and hit my lines. I finished that round -2 (rated 1008) and in 21st place. I knew I had some work to do to secure a spot above the cash line.
The final round was predicted to be the hottest and most humid. My round started terribly with a double bogey on my 3rd hole. Towards the middle of the round, the winds became aggressive and a weather delay was called. Luckily, no one was seriously injured. I finished that round at +1 (rated 994) for an overall score of +3 and tied for 16th place! It is truly a blessing to compete at such beautiful courses and I thank God for those opportunities!
