Such sad news from Common Cathedral this week, our Roger passed away on Monday at noon. He was such an important part of our experience at CC. Our presence seemed to make a difference to him, perhaps about as much as to any one there. His smile and eyes were so receptive. Thank goodness Rev. Lesa, whom he adored, was in the ICU at the hospital and was holding his hand when he passed. We are all very upset, we deeply respect his humanity and will miss him dearly.

This week at Common Cathedral and Common Arts it was Marie’s 80th birthday. She is an artist and young spirit who is a fixture in the art program. She is wearing her hand painted kimono style wrap she made. Miss Jeanie catered sandwiches galore — veggie, ham/cheese, tuna…And brought flowers and fabrics! Lots of art was happening in Marie’s honor.
It was nice to see the celebrations unfold!

This week at “Common Cathedral” Miss Jeanie made Mr. J.R.’s WISHDISH favorite food memory which was Brazilian Black Beans with a Greens Topping. The greens were supplied by Margie P***e of Leathy’s Garden. J.R. spreads spirited, creative energy every move he makes!

Yesterday’s WISHDISH included fresh harvested greens from Margie P***e of Leathy’s Garden who generously donates to The WishDish Project weekly. Miss Jeanie made a huge salad and crustless quiche brunch for the guests at Common Cathedral.
