In commemoration of World TB Day on March 24, It is a day to educate the public about the impact of TB around the world. Together, we raise awareness of the challenges that hinder our progress toward eliminating this devastating disease. This year marks several challenges with many shifts in funding, personnel, and public health efforts. In spite of all these challenges the Rutgers Health team discuss why this deadly disease is even more important below:

On December 31, 2024, the American Thoracic Society (ATS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA) published “Updates on the Treatment of Drug-Susceptible and Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis: An Official ATS/CDC/ERS/IDSA Clinical Practice Guideline” in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
