This is a safety reminder based on what many attendees personally observed around Legend Valley last year.

During Lost Lands, there were individuals approaching people in parking lots and nearby areas offering rides. Some vehicles appeared older or poorly maintained, some displayed generic or handwritten “Taxi” signs, and some drivers were actively calling out to attendees to solicit rides.

While we cannot speak to anyone’s licensing or insurance status, this type of ride solicitation is a major red flag and is not how legitimate transportation providers typically operate in Ohio.

🚨 Why this matters

In Ohio, professional passenger transportation normally involves:
• A registered transportation company
• Commercial auto insurance appropriate for carrying passengers
• Clearly identified vehicles
• Professional, non-aggressive conduct
• Transparent pricing and accepted payment methods

If a driver:
• Approaches you unsolicited in a parking lot
