The team at Newark Station would like to update the public on the fire that took place early Sunday morning. Fire broke out around 4 a.m. in the original warehouse on the eastern portion of the site along Main St.

The Newark Fire Department handled the situation with incredible response and we would like to thank our firefighters for containing this blaze. The fire department is still investigating the cause of the fire and at this time no one was injured in the event.

Fortunately, this disaster did not affect any of the work we have done to the main building that will house the next two phases of development. The Newark Station team is still committed to redeveloping this 10 acre site into sprawling community asset.

The Yard is still planned to re-open May 12 and stay tuned on phase 2, which includes a coffee shop, restaurant, music venue, and 18 apartments.
