Hawkins Perry Studios

I finally finished a new "memory"painting and with Christmas events and trying to keep up with everything it was slow going. This particular scene is still so clear in my mind as my mom and dad were pulling me on a sled to my Aunt Mary and Uncle Peter's house. It was quite a long walk and it had turned dark already and it was just magical to see the moon rising and the snow looked like diamonds had been thrown all over it. It gets dark early in the UP of Michigan. Happy times! I suppose I was around 4 or 5 years old.

Hi folks!! Beautiful fall day and actually found time for the studio yesterday and today. Yesterday I worked on my portrait of a friend in Fnland and today just did some sorting of "stuff" there. The portrait is still too wet to work on but it is about 3/4 finished. Feeling so much better physically and getting some things done. Fall day at the Fairall farm in Frazeysburg, Ohio. O/C about 20 years ago. That is Aunt Hazel raking leaves.
