🧼 Daily Cleaning Routine (MOST IMPORTANT)

Do this 2x a day:

1. Wash your hands first
2. Use sterile saline solution (like wound wash)
3. Either:
* Spray directly on piercing, OR
* Soak with a clean gauze/paper towel for 5–10 mins
4. Gently pat dry with paper towel (not cloth)

🚫 Do NOT use:

* Alcohol
* Hydrogen peroxide
* Harsh soaps
* Ointments (they trap bacteria)

🚿 Showering Tips

* Let warm water run over it in the shower
* You can use a mild, fragrance-free soap around (not inside) the piercing
* Rinse thoroughly—no soap residue

👕 Clothing & Friction

* Wear loose, high-waisted or soft waistbands
* Avoid tight jeans or anything rubbing the area
* Be careful with belts, leggings, and gym wear

🛑 Things to Avoid

* Don’t touch or twist the jewelry
* No swimming in pools, hot tubs, or lakes for at least 2–3 weeks
* Avoid sleeping on your stomach
* Don’t change jewelry too early

* Typically 6–12 months (yes, it’s slow)
* It may look healed on the outside way before it actually is
