On August 16th, 2022 the New Jersey American Concrete Institute Chapter hosted its Annual Golf Outing at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, New Jersey. With a beautiful day on the course, the attendees enjoyed a great time golfing. Our very own CIM Student, Maria Wagner was a great help in the event in coordinating different activities as well as being involved in the day's events. Many scholarships were given to different students from different New Jersey Universities. We would like to thank Emily Reich, the executive director of NJACI, for allowing us to participate in this wonderful event.

13 Students Attends the New Jersey ACI Dinner
On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, 13 students from NJIT ACI Student Chapter attended the ACI January Dinner held at The Chart House.
They enjoyed the presentation on "Mass Concrete: How Big is Big?" from Jerzy Zemajtis, PhD, PE, American Concrete Institute Senior Engineer, as much as they enjoyed the food and networking opportunity. They discussed what criteria determine a pour to be mass concrete. The speaker mentioned there are multiple variables but the main one is the temperature of the concrete, not the size!
Lastly, we would like to thank our sponsors (Weldon Materials and ACI NJ Chapter) for making it possible for our students to participate in this meeting. Thank you to our sponsors, Emily Rich for hosting the event, and to the students that participated.
