Making a music video isn't the be-all and end-all to your music career. Many artists spend incredible amounts of money on making music videos, only to see little in return.
Don't take me wrong music videos have changed the music industry and are still exploding. And there is a small chance of your video getting big by going viral. But generally speaking, a music video only really works 100% for established artists.
There are better alternatives to invest in that will give a better result. The primary purpose of these alternatives I'm revealing here is to make a music video coming from the perspective of getting the YouTube algorithm to work in your favor.
Not to forget brand optimization, using relevant tags, ending cards, links, and all the good stuff. We can discuss how YouTube (and other video platforms) rank and suggest videos to the audience and why only sharks get attention all time. But that's a topic for another day.
The ultimate goal is to get in front of a wider audience, appear in the recommended list, and automatically get a play after other videos. That's not easy - nor will ever be. But we are here to empower your music career.
