, artist and Curator-at-Large at WhiteBox Portable, introduces the Curatorial Internship Program and its second edition, *Touchstones*, part of WhiteBox Portable. Curated by Kaylie Pykkonen .melia and Tabitha Haugen.
Mentored by Yohanna Magdalene Roa, “Touchstones* is part of WhiteBox Portable, an initiative that expands curatorial practice beyond the white cube or box, by activating everyday contexts and site-responsive approaches.
This edition focuses on key aspects of the experimental roots of the Lower East Side aka East Village era during the 1980s and 1990s, presenting seven interventions and public workshops. Through mentorship, dialogue, and research, the program supports emerging women curators in developing independent, critically engaged curatorial projects.
