Pics are up from our heartwarming Valentine's day at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children! IWK Event Director, Timothy Savage, joined our animation and illustration pro volunteers Dayna Gonzalez, Pedro Delgado, and Adrian C. Sinnott to help the kids decorate paper cards and frames with adorable scenes like love-struck SpongeBobs hopping through the sky, Elmos beaming, and Berts cooing about hearts and friends forever! 💕

It's such a joy to see the kids be so excited about the creative process from start to finish. And such a happy experience for all of us to help them learn a new skill or two 😊

Huge thanks to Blick Art Materials, who donated the scalloped notecards and cardboard frames. The kids loved them all!

Just in time for the holidays, we teamed up with the kids staying at Bellevue Hospital to help them make drawings and cards to give to their family and friends as gifts! Together we made reindeer sail through the skies, Sonic scream down the slopes, and Titan TV Man stomp around looking for his presents. There was also one sweet birthday boy there who got several cards made just for him.

Thanks to our Event Director, Micheline Hess, for coordinating such a special day; to our little elf workshop of volunteers: Dennis Calero, Timothy Savage, and Elizabeth Winter; and to the fantastic Bellevue staff who continuously work to keep the kids' environment as supportive, comfortable, and encouraging as possible.

The last of our handmade cards were delivered to the children at Bellevue Hospital this very morn! Thanks so much to Abby Merrill, Micheline Hess, Joan Chiverton, Dayna Gonzalez and the rest of the Ink Well Kids crew who helped to share the gift of art this holiday season and all year round.

What a beautiful day, drawing with the kids at St. Mary's Healthcare System for Children! We’ve been coming here for 20 years but each time feels only more meaningful, especially around the holidays.
