Four-year-old Enoch, from Tuvalu, due to a genetic disability, cannot speak, eat, or stand without help. He relies on his mother, Vanessa, for everything.

She hopes that one day, trained teachers will be able to support children like her son. Children with disabilities need more than love and support from those closest to them. They need systems designed with them in mind.

UNICEF is committed to an inclusive world where every child is empowered, protected, and respected.

Immunization saves lives. It has protected generation after generation for the past 200 years.

Yet, in 2025, 13.5 million children did not receive a single vaccine in their first year of life – threatening their chances at a healthy future.

Governments and partners must invest in and strengthen immunization so no child dies of vaccine-preventable diseases.

Fatima Adebanjo, 24, built a web app in Lagos, Nigeria, that translates complex lab results into accessible language that patients can easily understand.

The idea was inspired by her mother, who lives with high blood pressure and struggled to understand her test results.

She is becoming with support from the Girls Education and Skills Partnership, a programme by Generation Unlimited at UNICEF and partners, Fatima developed the skills and connections to turn her idea into a real solution. Today, she is growing the platform and working to scale the business.

Through an ecosystem approach, Generation Unlimited and partners are connecting young people like Fatima to the training, networks, and opportunities they need to turn ideas into real‑world impact.
