"I try to balance an intuitive practice in the studio with research that is sincere." Episode Two of our video series features Brooklyn-based artist Tomashi Jackson (). In her densely layered abstractions, Jackson incorporates found materials from a wide range of sources, including legal, social, and art histories. Her work in the 2019 Biennial seeks to visualize stories of dispossession and displacement in New York City. Watch the full episode at the link in our bio.
