Shafiq Hicks (he/him) is a sought after vocalist, actor, recording artist and teaching artist. Hicks has collaborated with such artists as Estelle, Andrea Bocelli, Sam Smith and Aretha Franklin. Hicks has enjoyed a plethora of theatrical credits including Collins in Rent Revival 2016: 20th Anniversary (and 25th Anniversary Tours), Agwe in Once On This Island (STONC), Beast in Beauty and the Beast (STONC), Stew in PASSING STRANGE (Long Wharf Theatre), and Lion in The Wiz (Theatre In The X). Hicks works with a plethora of schools and programs and also operates his own private voice studio called Vocal Journeys, with the goal of “finding the YOU in your voice”.
