Attention Tap Dance Choreographers! DLNY is now accepting applications for its upcoming 2025 Tap Dance Project, led by Resident Directors Ayodele Casel and Torya Beard.
Slated to take place this Spring 2025 in New York City, this Lab will provide an unparalleled opportunity for choreographers to explore their craft in an incubative, artist-first environment.

Tuan spent their time in the Lab incubating an exciting new work with an extraordinary company of dancers at PACE University’s Sands College for the Performing Arts. We have some very exciting news! After more than a decade of providing vital resources and nurturing the artistry of 150+ choreographers, we at Dance Lab New York have reached another extraordinary milestone. Starting January 1, 2025, DLNY will lease its own dedicated studio space and administrative offices on West 38th Street in midtown Manhattan.
This new home, Dance Lab Studios, embodies our promise to the dancemaking community: to provide a consistent, safe, and inspiring space where choreographers and dancers across genres can push boundaries, create, and thrive. We look forward to sharing more about Dance Lab Studios in the coming weeks.
