life within the trees ——————————————————————————- “Every excursion shows me more of the world, and more of myself…My prints are the things about myself I cannot say to you. The sweet tooth I try to keep under control, the animations bursting to life in my mind, even the nature we came from that we ended up fearing…” -excerpts from artist statement.

Now on in Gallery 4 presents - “I'm Just Like You” featuring striking new works by painter through September 30.
Kontaxis is a self-taught artist whose abstract expressionist paintings communicate a unique passion for life.
Instinctively drawn to painting, the medium has provided Kontaxis with a conduit for expressing his notably distinct interior life. The artist was born with a brain tumor that has resulted in seizures over his lifetime, atypical motor function, and neurodiversity.
The pieces in “I'm Just Like You” incorporate a multitude of layering applications and have a sublime, contemplative effect created by Kontaxis' persistent attention to pattern, texture, and color. This structured chaos lends itself to a hypnotic, visceral, captivating experience for vIewers.

is delighted to welcome ’s presentation of ’s “Underground” now through September 30 in Galleries 5 & 6.
Underground is a new body of work, nearly two years in the making, that builds on Rodriguez’s celebrated “Subway Series.”
“Underground” will be the first time he exhibits a piece featuring himself to the public. The exhibition goes beyond New York and captures passengers from diverse corners of the world, encountered during his travels on the London tube and Paris and Barcelona metros. Through these portraits, Rodriguez exposes the distinct qualities, peculiarities, and shared humanity of a global collective of train travelers.

Now on view through the end of June, presents “You Carry Me,” a new solo show by Guernsey based .
Keates is inspired by travel, architecture, and interiors, working seamlessly in tandem with natural elements. Her environments suggest in both technical and artistic fashion indistinct human activity and motion, as though one is entering a recently vacated space, dramatizing stillness, without sacrificing movement.
