Goodbye Yellow Brick Road: Emerald Inn Will Close After 82 Years - iLovetheUpperWestSide.com Opened in 1943 on Columbus Avenue and West 69th Street, Emerald Inn remained there until rising rents pushed the bar to its current home at 250 West 72nd Street in 2013.

It is with great sadness that we announce Emerald Inn will likely close at the beginning of December. We want to thank our loyal customers and dedicated employees for supporting our family over the past 84 years. Your support has meant everything to us.

This fundraiser is our last chance to keep our doors open. After everything we’ve been through since covid-19, this is our final shot at saving a family business that has been part of the community for generations. Every contribution, no matter the amount, truly helps and brings us one step closer to staying alive.
