Since 1995, we’ve worked to bridge the gap between NYC schools and the business community, helping students unlock their potential and build brighter futures. From career readiness workshops and mentorship programs to hands-on learning experiences and internships, PENCIL has empowered thousands of students with the skills, confidence, and networks they need to thrive.

This milestone wouldn’t be possible without our incredible supporters—dedicated volunteers, committed educators, generous donors, and inspiring students. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact on New York City’s youth and paved the way for the next generation of leaders.

As 2024 comes to a close, we reflect on the incredible impact we've made together at PENCIL. This year, we worked with over 12,000 students, supported by 600+ volunteers and 160 companies. In the past five years, we’ve connected 50,000 students to life-changing opportunities.

PENCIL isn’t just about education; it’s about preparing the talent that will shape New York City’s future. We've seen students grow from learners to employees at top companies.
