Will we ever stop collecting art? Jack says no, never.

New to our walls, these beautiful, candid portraits of Geraldine Hughes, Ciaran Hinds, and Alex Higgins are the work of Cathal McNaughton, a Pulitzer Prize–winning Irish photographer and visual storyteller whose work is shaping how contemporary Ireland is seen and understood.

Over more than two decades, Cathal has worked across editorial, documentary, portrait, and commercial fields, producing images distinguished by clarity, restraint, and emotional intelligence. His portrait practice is marked by an unforced intimacy; a process built on time, trust and careful observation.

If you’d like to learn more about Cathal, his life and career are the subject of the documentary, I Dream In Photos, a portrait of the experiences that have shaped both his work and his perspective, available on YouTube.

And if you’d like to see his work in person, come to The Parlor, and we’ll gladly show you.

There’s a whole world of dippable food-and-drink combos out there, and we’ll be honest - when a guest started the Churros & Pint trend at The Life of Reilly, we decided to conduct a scientific experiment of our own.

Monica's getting us started with a rating of: "F*ck no."

But sure, don't take her word for it. Try it for yourselves and let us know what you think - and more importantly, what we should test next.

Monster Munch & Martinis at ? Churros & Frozen Irish Coffee at ? Buttered Toast in a cup of Barry’s at ? Guinness & literally anything?

The research continues.

Do you remember the Great Lamb Debate of 2023? Back then, we made the grievous mistake of taking our Lamb Chops off the menu.

They’d been a house favorite since day one, and we should have known better. Never again.

Our lighter Summer version features four chops marinated in Irish yogurt, lemon, and Old Bay, served with a cooling mint and yogurt dip.

Juicy, fresh, and moreish - proof that some classics are classics for a reason, and that we really do listen to our guests.
