Trikes for Tikes, a program in Memphis' HUG parks, launched with a mission to support community healing after a tragic bike accident, improve bike safety, and embracing Memphis' rich Black history by reviving the original African American bicycle rodeo.

Jo Ann Street successfully raised $2,875 on ioby's crowdfunding platform for a Bike Rodeo event that helped organize families and others in the community around public space and transportation.

ioby's Active Transit Toolkit is live and features community projects like Jo Ann's. Active transit is centered in transportation equity: the simple but radical idea that every person has a right to get around. Check out our free toolkit: https://hubs.li/Q02m8hBq0.

Many scientists and activists have declared this decade “make or break” for climate action, and if you step outside, it is not difficult to understand why. Whether you’ve experienced extreme heat waves or intensifying drought, it’s clear that the climate crisis is already having a tangible impact on the world around us. With such high stakes, it is essential for groups—both small and large—to take action for a liveable future. However, such action can often feel daunting. The climate crisis is unfurling at a global scale, we might ask ourselves, so is it really possible to make change at the local level? Local action can help us discover solutions that can have a much larger impact than we might originally believe. Plus, it allows us to embody the future we hope to live in, resisting despair and embracing a better world.

If you’re looking for some inspiration, here are 10 climate-conscious projects we love. Read the full story about these projects ➡️ https://hubs.li/Q02lr0Dd0

Ride On! Bike Co-Op is much more than a bicycle shop that repairs, sells, and rents bicycles--they also advocate for safer streets in Los Angeles, CA. They work with different organizations and local politicians to make the streets safer for both pedestrians and cyclists.

Ade Neff has run several crowdfunding campaigns on ioby, starting with a $1,745 fundraiser in 2015 to help secure a space for the co-op.
