After ~> before. Alfie / Waddles has improved so so much in the last two weeks thanks to her loving foster family. Can you believe this is even the same duck? For those who don’t recall, she was languishing under a trailer in Queens, without food or water, with a badly injured leg.
The Prospect Park duckling, who broke thousands of hearts when we shared video of her chasing after people in the park and trying to cuddle up to park goers on picnic blankets, has met what is probably the first duck ever in her life! (Remember, when you hatch ducklings or chicks, you are depriving a baby of a mother 🥹). And it’s going pretty OK! She now has a constant human as well as duck companion so she will never have to be alone again.
Prospect Park baby slept through the night without her foster mommy laying on the hard floor next to her! Yay for no cosleeping! you are the greatest.
