Trusting your child to manage their type 1 diabetes (T1D) independently, even for just a few hours, can feel overwhelming...

But giving them opportunities to practice, problem-solve, and build confidence is an important part of helping them grow.

It doesn't mean the worry goes away. It just means we're learning to let confidence grow alongside it.

We're also grateful for tools like her CGM and the reassurance of knowing we can check in or reach out to her friends' parents if needed.
