Don't quit. Even when all the odds are stacked against you and it seems impossible to overcome them. Don't quit. Even when friends & family can't see your dreams & visions and they don't give you the love & support you need. Don't quit. Even when you don't have a dollar to your name and you can't afford to eat or live and it literally makes sense to give it all up. Don't quit. Since I started my journey ten years ago of building a national movement called Get Focused I literally faced all of these challenges & more and no matter how hard and difficult it got I never quit because I knew that one day my dreams of creating a company that can inspire the world will come true. I would go days without eating and even became homeless just to be able to pay for my company to survive. I would use my last dollar to help someone else before I even helped myself. And I'm not saying this because I'm better than the next man, but because these are the real sacrifices I had to make to see my dreams come true. So for those of you out there chasing your dreams, trust me you can do it but just never quit. I now wake up everyday and I make a living doing what I love to do while also making a difference in the lives of others and it's all because I chose not to quit when things got hard! You can do the same thing!

In honor of today's snow storm I want to post this photo of me and one of our original Get Focused kids Luis standing in front of a supermarket during a snow storm in 2014 to help elderly people carry their groceries home. This was a community service exercise that I was teaching Luis through our GF Leadership Academy for him to learn how to be selfless, helpful, & noble.

"A LOT CAN HAPPEN IN TWO WEEKS:"

Good morning everyone! It's been two weeks since the airing of our Returning The Favor episode with Mike Rowe about our organization Get Focused and the enormous blessings do not stop pouring in. I cannot thank the RTF team and community enough for changing my life and helping bring our GF mission to millions of people. The episode is approaching 7 Million views and the response so far has been phenomenal. We have gotten hundreds of emails from people all around the country who want to start GF chapters, send us books, donate money, and even invite our Get Focused program into their schools to work with their students. We have also gotten thousands upon thousands of comments from people all around the world offering us inspiration to keep going. I'm still literally reading new comments everyday and they warm my heart and make me happy to know so many people care. We even got invited to be an upcoming guest on a very famous talk show to speak about our movement and how it is impacting lives. A great lawyer Matthew J. Moisan even offered us pro bono work through his law firm Moisan Legal to help us do things the right way and one of my best friends in life and favorite mentors David Gise founder of the Centre for Social Innovation in New York City offered to help us establish our first ever Board of Directors. Some of my other favorite outcomes so far after the show have been the New Jersey YMCA State Alliance reaching out to us and wanting to implement the Get Focused program at all their sites through their very successful "Healthy U" program which is implemented in all 21 counties throughout New Jersey, reaching more than 76,000 children and their families. Building a strong partnership with them would be unbelievable. Another amazing outcome is we formed a partnership and started building a special program with a very famous sports team the New Jersey Devils & their famous mascot NJ Devil, that will promote health & education to over 70 schools in New Jersey. Their mascot and I will travel together to various schools across the state to host interactive assemblies that will teach the importance of staying physically active, working hard in school, and eating a healthy diet. This partnership is truly a dream come true for me because when I first launched GF I always dreamed of partnering with famous sports team to empower thousands of children. One final outcome I want to share is having famous CEO's reach out to us personally and wanting to help our GF movement grow. One very nice and brilliant CEO in particular who reached out is the legendary Erin Patton who was the man responsible for the genius product & marketing for the Air Jordan brand in the 90's. Mr. Patton called me personally two weeks ago to tell me how special and necessary he believes Get Focused is and how he wants to help us build partnerships with companies that can help take our program national, and even around the world. Mr. Patton and I have been talking almost daily since the show aired and in less than two weeks he already got our program an invite for later this year to the caribbean islands of Barbados to teach a famous minister who works with thousands of families out there our Get Focused program. He shared our RTF episode with the minister and they want to bring our special program to their island to empower the entire community to read and exercise. I was left in shock when he shared the news with me. Mr. Patton has been truly heaven sent for us and I feel very grateful that he believes in our mission. There has been many blessings bestowed upon us since the airing of our episode and as the leader of our movement I just want to say one thing to everyone out there who is working towards their dreams and striving to make a difference in their community like we have at Get Focused; It's not about how big or small your movement becomes, if your movement only helps one person in the world then smile about it and be happy because there's people in this world who chose not to help anyone at all. This world is unfortunately full of evil, but if we all do our part and continue spreading goodness around to everyone we will make the world a better and safer place for our future generations. Always have your heart in the right place and even when all the odds are stacked against you, keep going and do not stop helping others!

This has been the most life changing week for our organization Get Focused and for myself Goldin Martinez as the leader of our movement. After our Returning The Favor episode aired we have received hundreds of emails and phone calls of support from people all around the country who want to get involved with our mission of empowering children to read and exercise. It's truly beautiful to see the outpouring of support. I have personally read each and every email myself and my heart is overwhelmed with joy. My team and I are doing our best to respond to everyone who reached out and are excited for all the new developments that are happening for our Get Focused organization. Thank you to everyone who believes in GF and wants to help us grow and also a very special thank you to Mike Rowe for being a hero!
