Last month at the World Farmers Markets General Assembly in Rome, GrowNYC and Campagna Amica ratified our partnership via the Sister Market Program. This effort aims to cultivate social and economic relationships centered around promoting the consumption of fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced food and agricultural products around the world.

We are thrilled to be connected to Rome’s incredible network of Farmers Markets via this partnership and we’ll be celebrating stateside with a ceremony of epic proportion! Meet us on the North Plaza this Monday where Francesco Lollobrigida, Italy’s Minister of Agriculture, will be hand-delivering a letter of congratulations to ’s Director of Food Policy, Kate MacKenzie. Festivities will include cooking demonstrations from agri-chefs in from Rome showcasing some simple and delicious Italian recipes using seasonal fare!
