Hi all!
We are excited to officially opened our Spring semester registration! Our Spring semester we are accepting rolling applications.

The basic requirements for applicants are:

(If ESOL student) You must be Level 4 English or higher. The culinary portion is only offered in English.

The program includes literacy classes (ESOL, TASC, or College Prep) AND culinary classes.

You must take both.

You must have a strong interest in pursuing a career in culinary arts.

You must be available Monday-Thursday, 10 AM-2 PM or 9AM-1PM for classes.Plus an additional 1-2 hours of work outside of class. The program lasts 12-weeks.

The program will be in-person. You will be required to attend classes in Upper Manhattan (West Harlem), in-person, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday, 10AM-2PM OR 9AM- 1PM).

Happy Monday! As winter winds down, consider joining our weekly classes! CAFE Prep is still accepting applications for our Spring cycle.
We are a dual culinary and literacy program, which includes culinary classes in combination with ESOL, TASC (GED), or College Prep classes. We are also now offering the option to audit the culinary portion.
In our culinary course, students will learn under the guidance of a professional chef and will receive preparation to take the NYS Food Protection Exam. We strive to teach the skills that are required to work in the food industry.
