We have enjoyed serving you, our community, for almost 20 Years! We are excited to announce that Dr. Causey will be returning to St. Lukes Cataract and Laser Institute in August. Our office will be available for appointments through July 30th. We will be closed for vacation August 1-15. After that, we will be available for patients to pick up any remaining contact lens or eyeglass orders through September. Our phone number will remain the same. New hours will be here on facebook and on our phone message. If you wish to schedule an appointment with Dr. Causey, he will be at St. Luke's Spring Hill location. We are in need of an optician or optical technician to join our team! At Causey Eye Care, we strive to provide Clarity and Peace Of Mind to our community here in West Pasco. It is our pleasure to run a family friendly and efficient optical with Saturday hours. Our ideal candidate is someone with outstanding interpersonal skills including - a pleasant demeanor, positive attitude, tact, patience, and flexibility when working with patients, doctors, and staff. Experience working in an optical is desirable. A willingness to learn and a good attitude is even more important! We are willing to train the right person! Job duties will include helping with frame selection, adjustments to frames, frame dispensing, pupillary distance and segment height measurements, as well as lens ordering. Some lens edging in our on-site lab will also be expected. All candidates should be prepared to work 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities:
-Review doctors prescriptions and orders based on patient’s medical records
-Utilize office and cloud based software to order glasses and provide billing information to patients’ insurance companies
-Educate patient on their corrective lens options and help them make a choice that fits their medical needs as well as their lifestyle
-Provide honest and compassionate feedback about aesthetics of lens and frame choices
-Assist in managing our of inventory of frames to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and variety of selection
-Operate manual lensometer and utilize other optical tools to achieve proper fitting
-Professionally communicate with our doctors regarding patient questions or concerns about prescriptions and other eye related issues
-Utilize on-site lab equipment for the edging and assembly of spectacles

Optician skills:
-Experience in frame dispensing/adjusting desirable
-Experience working with electronic medical records desirable
-Excellent customer service required
-Willingness to learn required
-Good work ethic required
