A nationwide study following over 926,000 girls and young women for 18 years just confirmed what we have long suspected... the HPV vaccine significantly reduces the risk of cervical cancer, and that protection does not fade over time.

Girls vaccinated before age 17 had approximately four times lower risk of developing cervical cancer than those who were not vaccinated.

Four times.

HPV causes almost all cervical cancers. It also causes cancers of the throat, a**s, v***a, va**na, and p***s in both men and women. Most people carry HPV at some point without knowing it. The vaccine works by building immunity before exposure... which is exactly why timing matters.

A few things worth knowing:
- The vaccine is approved for ages 9 - 45

- Later vaccination still offers some protection... but earlier is significantly more effective
