Beginning January 28, 2026, Tuscarawas County Medicaid recipients will call the local Non-Emergency Transportation organizations directly to schedule rides for their Medicaid appointments. Tuscarawas County Job and Family Services (TCJFS) has agreements with AccessTusc, Horizons, Inc., and Society for Equal Access to begin to take calls directly from Medicaid clients beginning 1/28/26 to schedule their transportation to Medicaid appointments. TCJFS will continue to schedule the rides through 1/27/26. With this change, clients will have the choice to decide on which of these three providers they want to ride with. We are streamlining the process so the clients can work directly with the transportation agency for scheduling.
