Day 1 of the All Blacks Rugby Camp exceeded every expectation. 🏉

The energy was incredible from start to finish. Athletes challenged themselves, learned from world-class coaches, and brought outstanding effort to every drill. Seeing players of all experience levels grow in confidence throughout the day is exactly what this camp is all about.

This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

Since November 2025, Reign Rugby has introduced rugby to more than 10,000 kids across South Louisiana. 🏉

Through our flag rugby leagues, school exhibitions, and afterschool programs, thousands of young athletes have been introduced to a sport that teaches teamwork, respect, confidence, discipline, and community.

The growth of rugby in our region is just getting started — and we’re proud to help build the next generation of players and leaders. 💪

🙌 Proud to recognize two outstanding seniors, David Melendez and Kiwi Mejia, alongside Coach Jeff Reuther of .

🏉 David Melendez – 3-year player and Senior Captain for EJ Rugby. A true leader and teammate, David is headed to Loyola next year on a rugby scholarship.

🏉 Kiwi Mejia – 2-year player and Senior Captain. A passionate competitor and multi-sport athlete, Kiwi is looking to continue her rugby journey at the next level.

Both athletes have been awarded scholarships to attend the All Blacks 5-day camp this July — an incredible opportunity made possible by the generous donation from June and Aaron Fetzer.

She’ll be teaming up with Nathan Harris to deliver a world-class experience, with a special focus on developing backs, playmakers and female participants!
