Next month is Black History Month. You might want to collect some pictures of famous black Americans so that you can make a gallery of photographs to share with your children. You can enlist your children's and their parent's help in this project too. Look for newspaper, magazine or internet photos. Don't forget to look for pictures of people in your own community whom you might want to include in your gallery. Perhaps you can put a short story about each picture with the pictures so that you can read the stories to the children.
