Biggest influence in your discipline:

That’s such a good layered question. I admire a lot of things outside of me like other people’s work and drive. If I had to be specific, my biggest influence thus far has been my own transformational life experiences. The ones that challenge you, force you to see things differently and allow you to peel back layers that you didn’t know existed. I see creativity as an unspoken language. Each layer revealed to me is a new part of myself I get to express through what I wear, what I create, how I move or decide to show up. You can reveal it all without having to explain the story behind it, it’s just seen and felt.

A creative compass is a necessity to me and I use that to transmute what I learn from my past, my environment, and my experiences into a visual language. So for me, my influence isn’t one specific thing. Overall it’s been about collecting those experiences, being curious, trusting those gut feelings will guide me while I show up and do the work. I’ve learned to really hone in on that process and see what comes out on the other side, it’s been fulfilling so far. That’s the core of my discipline right now
