DISSOLVED AIR FLOATATION is a Physio-chemical separation process. DAF can be used for the removal of Free & emulsified oil , Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Color, Odour & a part of suspended COD & BOD. Specially designed Air Dissolving Tube (ADT) are used for air saturation, where air saturated recycled water which is pressurized and depressurized before it is released to floatation tank and this results in formation of fine air bubbles (30 to 50µm).This increases the buoyancy of floating materials & bring them to the top surface of the unit. The floating materials collected on the surface are trapped by moving surface spiral scoops. Heavy sludge is removed from the sludge cones at the bottom of the separation compartment.
