May 17, 1916, 110 years ago today, Rutgers Gardens, Ryders Lane, Rutgers U, New Brunswick, NJ is established through a generous donation from Jacob and Cecilia Lipman (like Lipman Drive, named in their honor). It has been awarded Horticultural Landmark designation by the American Society for Horticultural Science. Open to the public.
