A quick pic of Thor. His growth is very obvious!

Tsavorite the iguana is also doing quite well and has grown quite a bit! Today is house keeping day for the critters. He has made quite a mess out of his tank.

Another update on Thor, the baby rat snake. He has upgraded to fuzzy mice and has an incredible appetite! I'll take some pictures later as it is not good to handle a snake that has recently eaten. They can throw their meals up if they become frightened. Another bonus is he is accepting frozen food without hesitation. This is much safer than live prey.

An update on that baby rat snake found in my daughters bathroom. He's doing fine, eating a ton of crickets and has a great personality. This is a very common snake in eastern NC. Unfortunately a lot of people are afraid of them and kill them on sight.

The other 2 new additions, Harley and Harper. They are small now just eating hoppers but they will grow fairly quickly. One of the benefits of ball pythons is that they are considered a small python. They only grow to be 3-5 feet long. Males, the most common found in pet shops, are much cheaper and smaller than females. They are roughly 3 foot when fully grown. Females grow to around 5 foot. I've had people ask why you generally have to ask for females and why they are more expensive. In the reptile world trading in captured animals is frowned upon. As a result most reptiles are captive bred and females are the ones that produce the eggs. It is the norm for females to be priced more than males and a majority of the lower cost reptiles at the pet shop are males. Just a little reptile trivia...
