Hope Southern Indiana
Hope Southern Indiana’s new Community Partnership Pavilion is officially open, creating a welcoming space for families, outreach, ministry, and community connection.
The pavilion will support block parties, family engagement, community events, and Breaking Bread meals for food-insecure families on Monday evenings at Hope in partnership with Nomad Church Collective, Eastside Christian Church, and Chick-fil-A.
At our recent ribbon-cutting, speakers included Pastor Bill Hudson, Rep. Ed Clere, New Albany City Council Member Jennie Collier, Northside Christian Church Local Outreach Minister Caroline Krause, Indiana University Southeast Theta Kappa Alumni representative Mark Lawrence, Nomad Church Collective’s Matt Fleenor, Hope Southern Indiana Executive Director Becki Romans, and Hope Board President Angie Fenton.
City of New Albany City Council President Adam Dickey and Floyd County Commissioner Frank Loop were also in attendance.
The project was made possible through the generosity of the IUS Theta Kappa Alumni Association, which donated all labor, along with Northside Church and an anonymous donor, who helped fund the pavilion. This is community partnership in action: people coming together to serve local families with care, dignity, and hope.
