I have just a few small adjustments to make on Skylight Photography's website (https://skylight.photography) and the entire system should be functional! As it stands, all functions are available and working on the customer side. There are a few adjustments that need to be made on the administrative side, but nothing that is going to keep me from saying the system is live.
With that, I plan to make new order forms for you to start using. The QR code that you currently use for Venmo and the PayPal information, will be replaced with a code that takes you to Skylight's website, informing you of payment processing changes. This will also require you to create or login with an email address. One of the biggest reasons for this change is not knowing who a payment is for when we are paid using Venmo or PayPal. Though PayPal is, and always has been, our payment processor, we are going to start discouraging direct payments from those 2 systems (e.g. using our PayPal or Venmo tags).
Though I haven't tested it yet, Apple Pay should also be an option that is available at checkout as well as manual credit card entry.
This system does allow you to order before picture day, as long as we have it on our calendar of upcoming events. It will allow you to place an order the day of the event as well. Late payments and late orders must be handled directly with me, case-by-case. If I do let someone pay later, it must be paid before I order the prints (typically 3-5 days after the session).
Skylight's home page will be changing in the next week, limiting your ability to enter a code straight from the home screen. This is another step to secure the website. What this means is that if you have Download Codes from the past, you will have to create an account, login and view those images from the 'Legacy Browser'.
I know these changes are cumbersome at first, but we've had to make these changes. As I have said before, we just cannot continue to run Skylight on a spreadsheet...It has grown way beyond that.

Skylight Photography (and myself) will be MIA until Monday. We are also closing for vacation from July 3rd until July 16th. If there are any issues with ball prints or orders, we need to have those taken care of either before or after those dates. I know several teams will not get pictures until next week so we will handle any issues accordingly.
Shelia and I will be getting married on the 3rd and will be taking some R&R from the 5th-16th. Thank you for your understanding!

Well...that's a wrap. Skylight just placed the order for the last team this season. I'm sure there will be some corrections that will need to be made and pictures that need to be reordered. All in all, it was a great season! We cannot thank you all enough for your amazing support!
If you are a coach and haven't received a message yet that your pictures are ready for pick up, you probably will early next week.
What a summer ball season! We have 3 teams left to shoot this season and pictures will be finished. Since our last post, we picked up a few more teams and will now end with 60 teams from across the county! That is well over 600 kiddos! You all are so incredible to us, and always have been. We want to thank you from the bottoms of our hearts!
As it stands, most of the teams that haven’t received their orders, probably will this coming week, or at least I’ll be reaching out to those coaches. We have 6 large boxes of photos that have come in over the past couple of days. As soon as I get these sorted I’ll be reaching out to the coaches or parents that have made special arrangements for pick up.
We hope to see ya for soccer pictures this coming season as well!
