Classes you teach: Power, Restorative, and Hot Stones

How long have you been teaching?
I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in 2020 and have been with YOGA3 since it opened in 2021.

What do you love most about teaching at YOGA3?
I love the community. People come to YOGA3 to celebrate birthdays, connect with friends, and build relationships. The environment is so warm and welcoming; it’s definitely my favorite part of being here.

What is your favorite pose, exercise, or class format?
I love moving balance and a classic half moon pose.

What is one fun fact about you that members may not know?
I am a sucker for a good mystery or western book.

STUDIO SPOTLIGHT ✨✨✨ Mary Thompson Mary Thompson

Mary has been apart of YOGA3 for 4 years!!!

She loves being around all the strong members. Being at Y3 has shown me all different kinds of strength - physical strength of course, but also seeing people who are nervous about trying yoga for the first time but do it anyway, or members who are struggling with some kind of barrier that makes them feel like they can’t do something but then they do it all the same-they have changed my understanding of what it means to be strong in a very positive way. All the people in the Y3 community make me feel inspired to do good work every day too.

I love a power class with a creative vinyasa flow. Strength class is growing on me! I should treat myself to stretch classes more often. They are all great!

My fun fact is I’m going to start my 34th year as an elementary teacher in September!
