Let's Dig Into ...Fevers. Why are they so scary? 12/19/2024

Fevers! Are you team 'Nope, too hot', or 'Let it Ride'?

I am pretty crazy when it comes to suppressing fevers. And by crazy I mean that I once went 9 days with a fever 🤪 But I know how difficult it can be to watch our little ones spike a fever and look miserable. Our instincts are to do whatever we can to make them feel better! But, what if by doing that, we cause more damage?

Did you know that in other countries people use fevers as THERAPY. There is something called Fever Therapy and it has been used in THE BIG C treatment 😱 Hyperthermia is a type of treatment in which body tissue is heated to as high as 113 °F to help damage and kill can cer cells with little or no harm to normal tissue. That's amazing! Sauna's and chiropractic adjustments are also used to INDUCE or increase a fever to help heal the body.

But not here in the US! We like to suppress everything and many times work against what the body is trying to do naturally 🙃

4. Use essential oils. They help to bring oxygen to the cells, supportive to organs and help release toxins⁣
5. Relax. Our bodies repair during the parasympathetic state. You can not be stressed and repair at the same time.⁣
